Traveling Tips to Komodo Island

Komodo Island is an island located in the Nusa Tenggara Islands. Komodo dragons live and breed well on Komodo island. There are about 1300 heads, coupled with other islands, such as Gili Mota and Rinca island, their numbers totaled about 2500 heads. Komodo Island is also declared as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In addition to the stunning landscape, Komodo island also has a beautiful underwater.

Airlines that serve the route Jakarta-Labuan Bajo is Lion Air. Ticket prices are quite expensive, around $270 round-trip. Another option is to take the route through Denpasar to Labuan Bajo.

There are several things you should consider when visiting Komodo island:

• Camping is prohibited in the area of Komodo National Park
• No fires. Wheather conditions are very dry, even a lit cigarette will cause wildfires. Hold your smoking habit over there
• Dispose of waste properly
• Never go it alone for was within the Komodo Island National Parkeven though you are true adventurer. You should still be accompanied by officers or guide
• Never feed the Komodo. though it looks big and clumsy, don't underestimate the speed of Komodo
• Always prepare insect repellent plus sunscreen. The sun is very hot, could reach 43 degrees Celsius
• During underwater activities (diving, snorkeling, underwater photos), you are not allowed to touch the coral
